The chefs admit that the “price” of Letsoalo may be too high!
Bafana Bafana and Royal AM star striker Victor Letsoalo had been linked with a sensational move to Kaizer Chiefs during the previous transfer window, and those rumors have surfaced several times this year.
However, Royal AM CEO Sinky Mnisi previously insisted Letsoalo “is a Rolls-Royce” and that Chiefs should not bid for a “Mazda 323”.

According to a report on SABC SportsLetsoalo’s ‘price’ may well have gone from R4m before the start of this season to 20 million rand now.
This comes after another outstanding season for the striker, who is set to finish second on the DSTV Premiership goalscoring list, with the playmaker currently on 14 goals and two assists.
Chiefs caretaker manager Arthur Zwane has confirmed the club are interested in Letsoalo’s services but also suggested the deal could be out of their price range.
“Is Victor Letsoalo the type of player who can play for the Kaizer Chiefs? The answer is yes. But can we have it, you know what I mean? says Zwane
“These are the challenges, you know, that you face? And that’s the reality, you know.

Previously, Royal AM distanced themselves from any suggestion that Letsoalo could make a move in the latest transfer window.
“Royal AM wishes to distance itself from all statements in print and electronic media regarding the impending sale of Victor Letsoalo to Kaizer Chiefs,” the statement read.
“As a team, we think people are trying to create instability in our team and confuse us.
“We want to set the record straight and state categorically that we have had no discussions with anyone regarding our player apart from what we hear in the media.
“We are also not interested in selling the boy as he is an important part of our participation and progression in the league. In fact, the player is under contract with us and we exercised our option until 2023.
“We would like to ask everyone to refrain from making these malicious statements which damage the image of our team and the Royal AM brand.
“We all need to act responsibly and stop kicking for the release of the player from our team. We are a professional team and we only ask to be treated as such. There is no agreement or discussions with anyone.
“I hope this matter is now resolved and we would appreciate everyone allowing our team to continue our successful journey in the PSL. Especially considering where we come from and what we’ve been through.
“We respect people’s opinions and wishes that people are entitled to, but we also believe that our position should be respected that there is currently a NOT FOR SALE sign.”

Letsoalo also previously said links to the chiefs are just ‘rumors’
Interestingly, towards the end of last year, Letsoalo set the record straight by suggesting there was very little chance he would move to the Soweto giants.
“That one, it was just a rumour. I have never been in contact with the Kaizer Chiefs or even my agent. We never know, it was just a rumour. – said the Royal AM star SAFM in an interview.
“I didn’t take it seriously because a rumor is a rumour. I just had to work because my contract was here. I just had to focus on where I am.
