Out of GI Santa Margarita S. winner Tara’s Tango (Unbridled’s Song), it’s half of another multi-million purchase from Alexander Valley (Medaglia d’Oro)–a $2,150,000 purchase from KEESEP by Godolphin. Capensis enters the race on a ball four furlongs at the Saratoga practice track in: 49.99 on June 24. Gray is out of a half-sister to MGISP Scarlet Strike (Smart Strike), which itself produced G3 Weatherbys Hamilton Supreme S. Conqueror Toro Strike (Toronado {Ire}). In Mark Casse’s barn, and with a slate of sharp work under her belt, including a four furlongs breeze on the synthetic track in :47.60 (6/75) on June 25, she was installed at 7-2 for the unveiling. Ticker Tape Home is out of GSW & MGSP Journey Home (war front), which sold for $650,000 at KEENOV last year at KatieRich Farms, and is second in the races behind the determined Empire (Empire Maker), which did not place, which sold for $240,000 at FTKSEL in 2020. Second dam Soul Search (AP Indy) was placed in the GI Juddmonte Spinster and the GI Personal Ensign S. before producing seven winners including 11 times Bold Shot (Curling), and is half of GSP Reform Act (Lemon Drop Kid) as well as the mother of Lunar Victory (Speightstown) and Teacups (hard spun).
